1. Always be aware of what you buy: Find out whether the products you already use are good for you, how green they might be and how socially responsible are the manufacturers by consulting the Good Guide. If you did not find your products listed there, research them with Google.

Below are some helpful organizations that try and assist those in need with the proper resources to be independent. My experience in this area has been one of a cautionary nature towards the recipients of this help. Do not get dependent on a government, agency or services for your own well being. I have been on both ends of the assistance and find it to be a necessity at some points, but the goal is always to remain independent and use the help for a brief time period.

The effects of this outpouring of human kindness are bound to be monumental, and go to show all of the doubters and negative dwelling people that we can make a difference in our homes, communities, countries and the world with just one person doing one good thing for one other person. Giving is contagious, but greed is ravenous. Please know that there are people out there posing as though in need, only to use others efforts to feed filthy habits. We never discourage giving to those in “need”, we ask that you fill that need with things that can not be possibly traded or exchanged for drugs, or other foul exploits.
